Nothing here in Cardiff. But it's REALLY cold. All schools are closed today.

And I have a car rental booked for this weekend!!!!

Been outside to release the chickens and there IS snow.

Just a light covering, as if a flakey giant walked by and rubbed his hair in my garden.

I hope that's it!!!!!!

It's freezing cold in Plymouth pal, with a light dusting of snow. Wind off the sea is brutal.

Ha ha ha, stay safe guys. Snow starting to fall heavily now!

Had to amend my car rental for tomorrow - cost me £31! But better than paying £40 and cancelling.

Bloody wimps southern softies :-D I'm off NE Scotland. It is / has been -4C with a -11C windchill here, which where gale force winds are normal you do notice that.

The SW of England is the warmest part of the UK although London/Kent is warmer in the Summer (when it's sunny). You have the gulf stream there, we get the jet stream (shite weather). Cornwall is sub-tropical. I know Plymouth is in Devon but it's on the border. NE Scotland is sub-Arctic. Weather here reminds me of being up in the mountains in the Highlands. Very similar conditions. Coldest part of the UK is the Cairngorms, so whatever it is there at the moment, that is normal.

This weather is pretty much normal for here it's only usually just above freezing this time of year as in 1C not any warmer :-D but the windchill only usually goes down to -4C or something rather than a nastier -11C. The cold sea acts a buffer, keeps it from getting too cold (don't have much snow here compared to the Highlands) but also means it's cold all year round. The normal temperature here in the "Summer" seems to be 12C for some reason (early afternoon-ish time). Similar climate to Iceland in Orkney although obviously they have much worse Winters. It's warmer down south in the middle of the night in Summer than it is up here in the day. You don't really have a Summer here it's cold all year round, and you don't have seasons. How can you have Autumn somewhere where there's no trees? As for Spring, if you want to call it that, I think that starts in May.

This thread really makes me appreciate Melbourne's weather, even if it can't make up its mind.

It's snowed twice here, in my lifetime (so far) that is.
