 Attendances in week 1
«Thread Started Jan 12, 2018 at 11:40 am»

Anyone else find the attendances this week to be a little... odd.

Staddiscombe with 32k
Richmond Heights only 6k

Athletico Baghdad drew a bigger crowd than The Incredibles.

I got 10k less than usual but presumed no one wanted to watch solent.

Or based on the result no one wanted to watch my strikers put every shot out the stadium. Shit strikers. Shit defence. Shit goalkeeper. Div 4 here we come!!!

They are always odd: last season Ity Bity Allstars (Div2) finished with an average of 15,697 per game, lower than eight Division 4 teams. FC Viking and Red Star Spartak also both finished with lower averages than six Division 4 teams.

Higher ticket prices might explain some of this but I wouldn't expect that much.

Stadium sizes can also affect it as Ity only has 29,000 seats but I would've expected it to be filled close to capacity each week anyway.

What else it could be, I have no ideas.

I like you, Jason. No other manager would have fully accepted relegation one game into the season.

If I recall this also happened at the start of last season and Ceri had to do some tweaking to the background files...I reckon it's the same issue.
The Incredibles is the standout one - dropping some 50,000+ in one season is crazy!

glad someone else noticed the fact our gates are shite despite 2 promotions in 4 seasons and 3 seasons with the clubs highest ever position in the game!

official clarification how it works would be nice

Maybe when the fans found out the manager wasn’t turning up they all decided not to bother as well

Perhaps Ceri can shed some light on this.

Is the ESMS+Attendance.dat+setup sheet used and if so, how often is it updated?

I personally think there are quite a few bugs in the code that could relatively easily be worked out if the desire to do so was there.
