Had to laugh just now having read what I wrote before about not buying anything made by Sony again. Since fixing my HX50 I've also bought a Sony NEX 3N (APS-C sensor) and a HX300 bridge camera.

I think I'm close to the limit of what I can do with a camera bought off eBay for 100. :-D I can do better I need to get a remote shutter release. Without one at that bonkers magnification not only is the Moon moving I have to use 10 sec auto timer to avoid camera shake. I need to be able to fire shots off quicker than that.

The fun will really start when I get an adapter to fit the NEX 3N to my telescope.
