 Training v Playing
«Thread Started Dec 2, 2017 at 14:08 pm»

With just one seasons experience it looks very much like it's much, much better to train players rather than play them (in terms of player improvement), would you say this is accurate?

Obviously it depends on how successful your team is as to how many abs your players earn but the defender I sent out on loan did soooo much better than the youngsters who I played most of the season.

Cheers

What I've learnt in 3 seasons:

Playing helps keep players happy, which makes them perform better (in my experience) and sign contracts easier.

Playing also helps youth players improve by a decent amount each season.

If you win a game the gains are typically better than if you lose. This is especially noticeable in huge wins/defeats.

Strikers also tend to improve at a faster rate than other players through game time (by scoring goals), which is one of the reasons they tend to be less expensive than players in midfield and defence.

Training is typically better (sometimes considerably better) and more reliable though which is why it's more sought after than game time.

Players 21 or younger who played this season will receive a boost in points in the end of season update.

Thorpe will go up by 697 points over the end of season break.

But as someone else days defenders donít increase very well game on game
